Are you searching for all the Treasure Maps in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced? Each one points to a location of a Buried Chest somewhere in the Caribbean. The drawings show landmarks, though coordinates should provide some helpful hints. Our guide has all the details that you need to obtain various goodies while exploring.

Treasure Maps and Map Piece Restoration

There are two kinds of Treasure Maps in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced:

• The usual Treasure Maps are found on cadavers in various nooks and crannies and even on smaller islands.
• There are also Map Pieces that you can restore via the Treasure Dealer shop in Great Inagua.

Once you have a Treasure Map, it should tell you the coordinates and location of a Buried Chest. You can only dig at that particular spot once a map is in your codex.

In any case, we’ve organized our guide to focus initially on the Treasure Maps, followed by Map Fragments. Each entry also includes info about the location of the Buried Chests and their respective rewards.

Northern Caribbean Treasure Maps

We’ve split up the world map into two halves. This one has the locations of the Treasure Maps in the northern portion of the Caribbean.

Treasure Map (North) #1: Great Inagua

• Map coordinates: 813,448
• Map location: To get this Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Treasure Map, follow the sloping path from the docks and mantle up the ledges. The map is inside a tunnel with an opening that’s overlooking the docks themselves.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Nassau (586,755)
• Buried Chest location: Head past the manor and look for a large rock formation. The dig site is next to a tree.
• Reward: Elite Sails Design Plan and 3,000 reales.

Treasure Map (North) #2: Mariguana Island

• Map coordinates: 847,514
• Map location: There’s a large rock formation smack dab in the center of the island. Look for vines that hide an opening to a nook that has the map and the chest.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Andreas Island (544,693)
• Buried Chest location: The dig site is on a tiny landmass with three coconut trees.
• Reward: Harpoon Strength Ultimate Plan and 3,000 reales.

Treasure Map (North) #3: Salt Lagoon

• Map coordinates: 723,608
• Map location: Held by a cadaver that washed up on the beach. 
• Buried Chest coordinates: New Bone (407,94)
• Buried Chest location: On a tiny island with four coconut trees. It’s fairly close to where you normally dock the Jackdaw.
• Reward: Maize Deity and 2,500 reales.

Treasure Map (North) #4: Nassau Warehouse

• Map coordinates: 593,750
• Map location: Find the key to the warehouse and plunder it.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Isla Providencia (487,11)
• Buried Chest location: Underneath a tree to the left of the wrecked boat.
• Reward: Governor’s Outfit and 2,000 reales.

Treasure Map (North) #5: Abaco Island

• Map coordinates: 581,804
• Map location: Near the beach in the middle of a copse of trees.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Salt Lagoon (719,607)
• Buried Chest location: By the coast under the shade of a large rock formation.
• Reward: Serpent Figurehead Design Plan and 3,000 reales.

Treasure Map (North) #6: Andreas Island

• Map coordinates: 543,693
• Map location: Next to the rotting destroyed boat just outside the settlement.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Abaco Island (586,811)
• Buried Chest location: Near a cluster of trees to the left of a large shipwreck.
• Reward: Earth Monster Relief and 2,500 reales.

Treasure Map (North) #7: Havana

• Map coordinates: 217,571
• Map location: This is one of two Treasure Maps in Havana. It’s held by a corpse that’s been dumped in a canal.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Havana (213,564)
• Buried Chest location: To get this Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Buried Chest, you need to make your way to the southern part of the city. Stand near the fortification walls by the coast and you should see a dig site prompt.
• Reward: The Queen Anne’s Figurehead Design Plan and 3,000 reales.

Treasure Map (North) #8: Havana Warehouse

• Map coordinates: 205,600
• Map location: This Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Treasure Map can be yours if you ransack the warehouse in the northwestern part of Havana.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Anotto Bay (590,245)
• Buried Chest location: Next to a stack of crates near the shaft that lets you exit the cavern. Note that Anotto Bay is a smuggler’s den, which means it has a Map Fragment. It’s also where you can find Blackbeard’s Treasure.
• Reward: Crimson Cloak and 4,000 reales.

Treasure Map (North) #9: Cape Bonavista

• Map coordinates: 161,585
• Map location: This is where you started the campaign proper. Go to the village to the southeast and make your way up the roofs and ledges. The map is in a tunnel that leads to the Mayan Stelae in this area.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Cape Bonavista (146,587)
• Buried Chest location: From the southern fast travel point, jump down and look to your right. You should see a tunnel that leads to a pool of water. The dig spot is in the middle of the pool.
• Reward: 1,500 reales.

Treasure Map (North) #10: Pinos Isle

• Map coordinates: 308,456
• Map location: On a corpse in the main area of the ruins, which is guarded by a bunch of Spanish soldiers.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Cayman Sound (304,310)
• Buried Chest location: In the middle of a copse of trees in the northeastern part of the island. Opia Apito, an NPC for the Templar Hunts, is also at this location.
• Reward: 4,000 reales.

Southern Caribbean Treasure Maps

There are more Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Treasure Maps in the southern part of the Caribbean. You’ll be island hopping to and fro to collect valuables.

Treasure Map (South) #1: Corozal

• Map coordinates: 11,242
• Map location: Right beside a cooking pot just outside the small camp.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Ambergris Key (30,157)
• Buried Chest location: Dive underwater and go through the tunnels. Once you surface, you’ll see another tunnel with a dead end and a small chest. That’s where you’ll find the dig site.
• Reward: Pirate Captain Outfit and 2,000 reales.

Treasure Map (South) #2: Ambergris Key

• Map coordinates: 28,160
• Map location: You should definitely pick up the Ambergris Key Treasure Map in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, especially if you just grabbed the reward from the Corozal hint. Anyway, this map is in the upper section of the central dais.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Misteriosa (271,178)
• Buried Chest location: The dig spot is a mound at the right-hand side of the serpent fountain.
• Reward: Heavy Shot Ultimate Plan and 3,000 reales.

Treasure Map (South) #3: Santanillas

• Map coordinates: 191,218
• Map location: Climb up the trees to reach the hilltop that has a skeleton.
• Buried Chest coordinates: San Juan (455,462)
• Buried Chest location: Dive and go through the underwater tunnel. Immediately upon surfacing in the smuggler’s cave, check the side of the wheelbarrow ramp.
• Reward: Fire Barrel Strength Ultimate Plan and 3,000 reales.

Treasure Map (South) #4: Misteriosa

• Map coordinates: 272,175
• Map location: Inside a small nook below a Mayan Stelae.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Kingston (631,152)
• Buried Chest location: Found in the southeastern edge of the city. Check the area near the destroyed boats and barrels.
• Reward: Gilded Hull Design Plan and 3,000 reales.

Treasure Map (South) #5: Cayman Sound

• Map coordinates: 298,311
• Map location: Pick it up from some barrels and wooden containers.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Petite Caverne (863,235)
• Buried Chest location: This Buried Chest in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is in another smuggler’s cave. Go to the upper area and check the flower bed near the waterfall.
• Reward: Heavy Shot Storage Ultimate Plan and 3,000 reales.

Treasure Map (South) #6: Cumberland Bay

• Map coordinates: 648,345
• Map location: Along the sandy shoal underneath a copse of palm trees.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Pinos Isle (304,455)
• Buried Chest location: Make your way to the main temple and face the structure. The dig spot is underneath a tree to the right.
• Reward: Ivory Wheel Design Plan and 3,000 reales.

Treasure Map (South) #7: Tortuga

• Map coordinates: 851,352
• Map location: This Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Treasure Map is on the beach in the northern part of the settlement. It’s near a boat that lets you fast travel back to the Jackdaw.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Matanzas (312,617)
• Buried Chest location: At the back of the waterfall just past the Mayan Stelae.
• Reward: Mortar Storage Ultimate Plan and 3,000 reales.

Treasure Map (South) #8: Petite Caverne

• Map coordinates: 862,237
• Map location: The skeleton is tied to a post at the back of the encampment. It’s behind several wooden crates and barrels.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Tulum (40,372)
• Buried Chest location: Near a couple of coconut trees in the sandy shoal south of the stronghold.
• Reward: Fire Barrel Storage Ultimate Plan and 3,000 reales.

Treasure Map (South) #9: Ile-a-Vache

• Map coordinates: 812,114
• Map location: Found on a corpse just past the tents.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Jiguey (534,510)
• Buried Chest location: This Buried Chest in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is close to the middle of the smuggler’s settlement. It’s near the palm tree and overtuned rowboat.
• Reward: Baroque Guitar and 2,500 reales.

Treasure Map (South) #10: Kingston Warehouse

• Map coordinates: 605,156
• Map location: This Treasure Map in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced comes from the warehouse in the southwestern part of Kingston. Find the key and plunder it to receive this hint.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Cumberland Bay (645,355)
• Buried Chest location: Found at the base of a tree in the northern part of the area. It’s close to a shipwreck and a rowboat that takes you back to the Jackdaw.
• Reward: 4,000 reales.

Treasure Map (South) #11: Port Royal

• Map coordinates: 605,132
• Map location: Pick it up from a gravestone in the cemetery in the eastern part of town.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Principe (113,11)
• Buried Chest location: To find this Buried Chest in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, you have to progress the main story until you’re able to tackle Sequence 09: Trust Is Earned. This is when you head to Principe, which is defended by the Portuguese. The chest itself is in the southeastern edge of the camp at the roots of a fallen tree.
• Reward: Standard Bearer and 2,500 reales.

Treasure Map (South) #12: Isla Providencia

• Map coordinates: 483,19
• Map location: To obtain this Treasure Map in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced quickly, make sure you’ve already discovered Isla Providencia. Fast travel there and look for where the Jackdaw is docked. You should see a sloping path to the left that’s almost hidden by the treeline. Follow the path until you see a skeleton that’s holding the map.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Long Bay (503,230)
• Buried Chest location: Use the northwestern fast travel point, then look around to spot a bunch of trees behind the huts.
• Reward: Scottish Broadswords

The Treasure Dealer and Treasure Map Pieces

It’s possible to obtain more Treasure Maps in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced by collecting fragments/pieces and restoring them via the Treasure Dealer. Here’s the gist:

• The Treasure Dealer is a building/shop in your hideout in Great Inagua. You must first construct the General Store and Tavern. Then, you have to spend 5,000 reales to build the Treasure Dealer.
• Once unlocked, the Treasure Dealer lets you restore scattered fragments at the cost of reales and a particular resource, such as spices, tobacco, and rum barrels.
• If you lack the resources, you should plunder enemy ships or capture them so you can add them to your fleet. The brigs that you capture can be sent out on piracy missions that yield these materials. Alternatively, you can use frigates to supply warehouses, before ransacking their storage.

Restored Preserved Map

• Requirement: You need four Preserved Map fragments in total. You can find these by stealing from warehouses in various settlements, such as the ones in Havana, Cat Island, Matanzas, and others.
• Restoration cost: 150 tobacco and 500 reales.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Sacrifice Island (14,554)
• Buried Chest location: Found in the northern part of the island under the shade of two connected rock formations.
• Reward: Shade and Shadow Robes (legendary outfit) and Wooden Eyeball (legendary trinket). Note that the trinket’s unique perk causes your pistol quickshots to instantly kill brutes.

Restored Tattered Map

• Requirement: You need three Tattered Map pieces in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. To obtain these items, you have to destroy enemy ships until your Wanted Level reaches higher thresholds. This will cause the Spaniards and British to start sending Pirate Hunter frigates and men-of-war. Disable these ships and complete the boarding action, then choose the “Open Captain’s Lockbox” option when you’re done. The lockbox should contain the map pieces that you need.
• Restoration cost: 200 sugar and 500 reales.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Florida (381,803)
• Buried Chest location: In front of the lone skeleton by the shipwreck. (Maybe it's your typical risk-taking Florida Man?)
• Reward: Gilt-Lined Sails (legendary sails), Elite Wheel (rare wheel), and Sleek Crew Attire (rare crew attire).

Restored Digested Map

• Requirement: You need two Digested Map fragments. You can find these by skinning white jaguars. There’s actually a pretty reliable spawn point in Great Inagua (825,439). Go to the jungle area past the wild pigs, then follow the path to the swamps to encounter the fierce cat. When you’re done, leave the area and wait for it to spawn after a day or so has passed in-game.
• Restoration cost: 200 rum barrels and 500 reales.
• Buried Chest coordinates: Santanillas (188,215)
• Buried Chest location: Go to the courtyard in the middle of the island. You should see a river flowing through a tunnel at the base of the ruins. Follow it to reach a nook that has the dig site.
• Reward: Hunter’s Outfit (rare outfit) and Hunter’s Amulet (rare trinket). When equipped, the trinket reduces the detection range of animals.

Restored Weathered Map

• Requirement: You need six Weathered Map pieces. They're found inside the large chests in caves/smuggler dens. As of the time of this writing, we've discovered five of these locations, namely Petite Caverne (864,237), Jiguey (535,511), San Juan (454,462), Ambergris Key (28,159), and Anotto Bay (590,245).
• Restoration cost: 150 spices and 500 reales.

Restored Yellowed Map

• Requirement: You need a whopping 10 of these Yellowed Map fragments. The Treasure Dealer hints that your fleet might be able to help you out, implying that these are rewards from missions conducted by your schooners. Unfortunately, as of the time of this writing--and roughly 50 hours of playing the game, including dozens of Kenway's Fleet missions--we've yet to actually find a single one of these map pieces.
• Restoration cost: 100 aloe and 500 reales.
